About this book

Product Description Give me six months, and I will teach your sons how to live wisely. They will make you proud, said the Pandit. And thus was born the great book of animal stories The Panchatantra. Cunning jackals, stupid crocodiles, lumbering elephants and clever mice. Foolish fish and clever crows, quick-witted monkeys and dim-witted lions. Pit your wits against them in this feast of animal stories! The Panchatantra stories are ancient yet so contemporary that they have been retold again and again through the ages. They remain as modern as any new story today. About the Author With many children s books to her credit, author and freelance writer Sreelata Menon writes about anything and everything. She especially enjoys capturing children s imagination with India s rich literary legacy and its many fascinating tales. She believes that if children are able to relate to these stories, it will inspire and encourage them to have aspirations of their own. ILLUSTRATOR BIO Megha Punater is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator based in Mumbai and Pune. She has illustrated children's books, designed books and covers for various publishing houses and designed brand identities for established businesses, both in India and abroad. She also designs textile patterns for well-known fashion brands. When not at her desk, Megha enjoys reading, gardening, travelling, painting and creating mini handmade illustrated books.
